You can now enable notifications for both the web and Android applications. Please follow the steps below to enable them:
Web Application:
Enabling Notifications
Step 1: Near the URL bar, click on the filter button where you will find the notification option.
Step 2: Reset the permission and refresh the page.
Step 3: A pop-up will appear asking to allow notifications with two options: Block and Allow.
Step 4: Select Allow. Once done, you will start receiving notifications whenever a ticket is assigned to you.
Notification Formats
Push Notifications: Appear in the following format (only when notifications are enabled).
App Notifications: Appear under the bell icon. Up to 5 notifications are shown directly, and to view all notifications, click View All (no need to enable notifications).
Note: app notification does not required to enable the notification!
Note: You will only hear the notification sound when a ticket is assigned to you.
Android Application:
Enabling Notifications
In the Android application, if you have updated the app to the latest version of Geedesk from the Play Store, you will receive notification sound when a ticket is assigned to you. If you do not receive notifications, please go to your phone settings → App list → select Geedesk → and enable notifications. The steps to enable notifications may vary slightly depending on your phone model. .
